Before you do anything, read this...........
You are required by law to record (with the Domain Name registration
company) information associated with the person and/or company
performing the registration. The
information you record is publicly available. The laws
governing the registration of a Domain Name specifically require that
the registrant's information must be publicly available. You will
be asked for name, mail address, telephone and e-mail
address. While companies performing the registration
process generally will not divulge your information (see each company's
Privacy Statement for further information) the information you
record is available to the world through the WHOIS system.
The WHOIS system is mined by target
marketers for information to enable them to send junk mail
(both e-mail and USPS mail). If you are concerned about your
privacy, don't register your Domain Name yourself. Use a
third party, like El Valle, and execute a contract with the third party
stipulating the ownership of the Domain Name. That way your
privacy won't be disturbed and you'll still retain ownership in your
Domain Name.
