Spam

What is spam?

Spam is commonly known as unsolicited e-mail from advertisers.  Some hackers specialize in sending Spam e-mail designed to overload, and thus shutdown, an Internet server.  Unscrupulous web sites will collect e-mail addresses from viewers and then sell this information to advertisers.  AKA, junk mail.

Can Spam be prevented?

Yes, sort of.  Always check a web sites Privacy Page.  Never provide personal information to a web site that does not provide you an option to Opt Out. That is, data collection forms should provide you the option for not allowing use of your personal information, including your e-mail address, for purposes of receiving unsolicited advertisements.

How do I prevent spam?

Always use quality web sites that include a guarantee of your privacy.  If you are already on a spammer's mail list, then set your browser to disallow mail from the source address.

El Valle Consulting's Policy re SPAM.

We don't do SPAM.  We don't work on websites that use SPAM.  We don't host sites that send SPAM.  We know how to mine the web for email addresses and then turn them into SPAM lists - but we don't do it for our own use and we won't do it for you.

Our Hosting Services have a strong policy against SPAM. Read the Hosting Services SPAM Policy,
